
German philology - MA program
The MA program in philology (German philology) last two years, i.e. four semesters. Upon its completion, the student is awarded a MA degree in German philology. The students have the following specializations to choose from:- teaching - required to teach English in all levels of public and nonpublic schools.
- general.
Knowledge and skilled acquired during the graduate studies will allow the graduate to work in the following fields:
- Teacher of the German language (after completing the teaching specialization),
- translation, public translator or sworn translator after fulfilling the conditions as stipulated in the acts concerning sworn translators,
- publishing and mass-media,
- international business,
- local and EU administration,
- cultural institutions,
- higher education and research facilities,
- service sectors requiring an advanced knowledge of the German language (e.g. in the tourist industry).
