Basketball team
Our basketball team, which was established in the 2006/2007 academic year, had its first major success – the team has advanced to the second round of play-offs of Wrocław’s Amateur Basketball League WRONBA. This means that we are in the top sixteen of the 46 teams taking part in the competition. What gives this success even more valuable is that it happened during the first season of the team’s existence. Our team had to first pass the group play-offs in order to later secure a difficult victory against a demanding adversary in the first round of the play-offs.
This success is due to the teamwork of all the players, their commitment, the experience of the coach, and the financial and organizational support of WSF’s administration.
We hope that this success will motivate the team to work even harder, which will lead to them advancing to a higher league next season. We’re keeping our fingers crossed!
