WHY STUDY AT PHILOLOGICAL SCHOOL OF HIGHER EDUCATION
Welcome to Philological School of Higher Education in Wrocław, Poland!
We are a dynamic and enterprising School, situated in the heart of a beautiful, historical and lively city, with a strong commitment to international students.
The Philological School of Higher Education specializes in humanities: German, Spanish, English and American studies including literature, history, linguistic and communication studies. We offer, both local and international students, a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses conducted in a relevant language by highly qualified academics from Poland, Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, Britain and USA. Trying to meet international students’ expectations we provide flexible and varied educational offer with combination of courses to suit every student’ needs. The School has implemented The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), which makes the study programme easy to read and compare for all students. The system facilitates the recognition of periods of study abroad.
Our school building, from lecture theatres to laboratories, is continually modernized and upgraded to provide the very best in up-to-date teaching facilities. Located in the heart of a vibrant and dynamically developing European city, which is a big Polish academic centre too, we set very high standards and have a clear vision for the future.
The Higher School of Philology was granted the Erasmus University Charter for 2007-2013. Our involvement in the Erasmus Programme contributes greatly to the internationalization of our institution. Visiting students can gain exciting international experience and enjoy a friendly atmosphere and lively social and cultural environment offered by our school and the city.
As the popularity of Philological School of Higher Education is constantly growing locally and abroad, the school is committed to providing the best possible support to all international students from the first enquiry, to their arrival at Wrocław, and through their stay here. In addition to the services provided by our International Office, incoming students also find a warm welcome from the student body represented by “Study Buddies”. They organize The Welcome Programme just before the academic year and attractive activities to help visiting students settle in to our school life.
