On 29 April – 3 May 2015 Philological School of Higher Education in Wroclaw held The 9th International Conference on Middle English devoted to the period in the history of the English language from the 11th to the 15th century.

The conference was attended by over 60 scholars from all over the world, including the United States of America, Japan, the Republic of South Africa, Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Spain, Germany, Norway, Russia, Switzerland, Ukraine, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Italy and Poland.

The participants presented various papers concerning both linguistics and Middle English literature.

   ICOME 9 is another edition of the conference series initiated by Prof. Jacek Fisiak in 1994 in Rydzyna. Since then, it was held in numerous European cities:
