GameIt: Transnational Meeting in Sogndal (29-31 May 2019)
From 16th October to 3rd November 2017, the 2nd edition of teacher training in a partner kindergarten – Chongqing Dear Child Kindergarten in China was held. The training was organized under the memorandum of cooperation concluded on 7th April 2016 between the Philological School of Higher Education in Wroclaw and Chongqing Dear Child Kindergarten. In the second edition a six students of the WSF took part.
.From 10th to 28th October 2016 a group of five students of our university participated in the teacher training in a partner kindergarten Chongqing Dear Child Kindergarten in China.
On 15 June 2016 there were held translation and culture workshops for the students of the Boleslaw Chrobry High School No. 12 in Wroclaw. They were specially prepared and conducted by the WSF lecturers: Mr Grzegorz Piątkowski and Mr Christian Dumais.
On 23-30 April 2016 the representatives of WSF staff members visited the partner university - Sogn og Fjordane University College (HiSF) in Norway. The Norwegian–Polish meeting was possible thanks to the realized projects: Philologist for the environment (with the Department of Engineering and Technical Sciences HiSF) and Mobility of Students and Academic Staff within Scholarship and Training Fund of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE).
On 7th April 2016 was signed a cooperation agreement in the field of teacher training between the Philological School of Higher Education in Wroclaw and Chongqing Dear Child Kindergarten in China. Within established collaboration, WSF students and graduates will have an opportunity to have a teacher training in the kindergarten in China. The first traineeship is scheduled for October 2016.
On the 6th and 7th of June 2015 a conference – Ways to Religion – was held. The conference was co-organized by the Philological School of Higher Education, Wroclaw Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences and numerous academic bodies from Poland and from abroad.
On 29 April – 3 May 2015 Philological School of Higher Education in Wroclaw held The 9th International Conference on Middle English devoted to the period in the history of the English language from the 11th to the 15th century.
On the 11th of April 2015 the Philological School of Higher Education held a series of lectures during the workshops on Maltese culture and language.
Languages in Contact is an international conference that aims at integrating international researchers of language, understood as social human behavior. The conference is organized by the Committee for Philology of Polish Academy of Sciences - Wroclaw Branch, Philological School of Higher Education in Wroclaw, Institute of Linguistics of the University of Malta and International Communicology Institute, Washington D.C., USA.
Philological School of Higher Education in Wroclaw (WSF) has been awarded with The Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE), which means we are participants of the Programme Erasmus+ (previously: Erasmus) in the years 2014-2020.
Philological School of Higher Education in Wroclaw (WSF), by the decision of European Commission of 18 December 2013, was awarded with DS Label – an honorary European higher education distinction. At present our institution is one of the three its Polish holders.
The international linguistic conference „Ways to Protolanguage 3” took place on May 25-26. This event was organized by the joint effort of The Philological School of Higher Education in Wrocław with the Department of English Philology and CLES of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and the Wroclaw unit of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The fifth conference as part of “Abre los ojos” was dedicated to the subject of women. The aim of this symposium was to look more closely at the role of women in different contexts: in literature, media and culture
On June 11-12, 2011, Wrocław was the meeting place for an international body of linguists who attended the cyclical Languages in Contact conference organized jointly by Wyższa Szkoła Filologiczna and Polska Akademia Nauk.
Professor Marek Oziewicz was awarded 2010 Mythopoeic Award in Myth and Fantasy Studies.
